A public meeting with the students of the University of Georgia

On October 27, representatives of the Georgian Court Watch held a public meeting with students at the University of Georgia.

Court Watch's analyst Keti Gachechiladze introduced the project "monitoring of courts by citizens" to the audience, which is implemented by the Georgian Court Watch with the support of the USAID rule of Law Program. It should be noted that any interested person can participate in the volunteer monitoring program.

The meeting was attended by the Volunteer of the project "monitoring of courts by citizens", Rati Ramishvili, who shared his experience with the students.

Representatives of the organization - Megi Shamatava and Salome Kvirikashvili talked about the problems and tendencies related to attending the sessions of the High Council of justice, as well as the problem of access to public information in the judicial system.

Students received information on various issues revealed while working on articles prepared for court watch online publication CourtWatch.ge (the project is implemented with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
