"Georgian Court Watch" is a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity, which was founded in July 2021. The goal of the organization is to promote the democratic development of Georgia by improving the independence, accountability and efficiency of the judiciary.

The founder of "Georgian Court Watch" is Nazi Janezashvili, a former non-judge member of the Supreme Council of Justice of Georgia (2017-2021).

The mission of the organization is to increase public involvement in the process of Georgian justice reform and promote the improvement of court independence, accountability and efficiency.

In order to carry out the mission, the organization:

  • Implements public mobilization and information campaigns, advocates public interests;
  • Ensures consistent monitoring of the justice system;
  • Involves in relevant public policy formation processes, offers relevant research and policy recommendations to decision-makers;
  • If necessary, carries out strategic litigation.
