The Court Watch held a meeting with representatives of Batumi civil society

On March 29, 2023, the Georgian Court Watch held a presentation/discussion with local civil society representatives in Batumi on the topic of challenges in the judicial system.

The event was opened by the director of the Court Watch Nazi Janezashvili, who reviewed the latest recommendations of the Venice Commission.

The invited experts were lawyers Sulkhan Saladze and Ana Tavkhelidze.

Sulkhan Saladze spoke about the prospects of judicial reform within the framework of EU 12 conditions, and Ana Tavkhelidze made a report on the practical aspects of the problems in the judicial system.

The Georgian Court Watch will conduct regular awareness-raising activities for media and civil society representatives, as well as for the population on specific challenges and solutions in the field of the court.
