Court Watch held a meeting with civil society representatives in Zugdidi

On April 20, 2023, the Georgian Court Watch held a discussion about the judicial system with local civil society representatives and lawyers in Zugdidi.

The event was opened by the director of the Court Watch Nazi Janezashvili. The invited expert Nika Simonishvili spoke about the main challenges in the judicial system. Lawyer Megi Shamatava reviewed the issues to be implemented in the framework of EU 12 conditions.

The Georgian Court Watch regularly conducts awareness-raising activities for media, students, and public representatives about challenges in the court system.

The event was held with the support of the project of the Georgian Court Watch: "Georgian Court efficiency index" with the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
