On September 28, 2021, we had the first working meeting with the representatives of “Fundacja Court Watch Polska”, which was attended by both Georgian experts and Polish colleagues who started the citizen court monitoring project in Poland back in 2010.
At the meeting, we discussed all aspects of court monitoring by citizens, including how useful is this methodology not only for the general public but for the judges as well. As our Polish experts told us, Polish judges call this project a mirror.
A Fascinating phrase was said by our partner at today’s meeting, that the main idea of the citizens’ court monitoring project is that “we help people to help each other”.
The workshop was held within the framework of the project “Initiation of Court Monitoring by Citizens”, which is implemented with the support of USAID/PROLoG.
