Court Watch held a seminar for journalists in Batumi

On March 30, 2023, the Georgian Court Watch held a seminar with local media representatives in Batumi on the topic: judicial reform and topical issues of judicial reform.

Nazi Janezashvili, director of the Court Watch, held a presentation of the project "judicial system efficiency index".

The invited experts were lawyers Sulkhan Saladze and Ana Tavkhelidze, as well as journalist and film critic Ninia Kakabadze.

Ana Tavkhelidze reviewed the role of the court in terms of the protection of children's rights, Sulkhan Saladze spoke about the publicity of the court system, and Ninia Kakabadze held a screening of the film on the court.

The meeting was held in question-answer mode.

The Georgian Court Watch will conduct regular awareness-raising activities for media and civil society representatives, as well as for the population on specific challenges and solutions in the field of the court.

The event was held with the support of the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands of the Court of Justice's projects: "Georgian Court efficiency index".
