Court Watch held a seminar for local media representatives in Kutaisi

On April 28, the Georgian Court Watch held a seminar for local media representatives on topical issues of judicial reform in Kutaisi.

Nazi Janezashvili, director of the Court Watch, spoke about the project of the organization "judicial system efficiency index".

The speakers at the event were lawyers Nika Simonishvili and Megi Shamatava:

• Nika Simonishvili reviewed judicial appointments and issues of corporativism in the court.
• Megi Shamatava spoke about accountability and transparency of the judicial system.

The meeting continued in the mode of discussion.

The Georgian Court Watch regularly conducts awareness-raising activities for media, students, and public representatives about challenges in the court system.

The event was held with the support of the project of the Georgian Court Watch: "Georgian Court efficiency index" with the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
