International Human Rights Day - screening of the film

10.12.2022
Every year on 10 December, the world celebrates Human Rights Day, and on this day, a film screening and discussion was held for the participants of the project of monitoring courts by citizens in the office of the Georgian Court Watch.

The film "Trial of the Chicago 7" details the real-life trial of seven anti-Vietnam War protesters accused of conspiracy and rioting during the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

After the screening of the film, the meeting continued in discussion mode. Volunteers expressed their opinions about Georgian court processes.

On December 10, 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the International Declaration of Human Rights. The declaration refers to both civil and political, as well as economic, social and cultural rights. That is why the International Human Rights Day is celebrated every year on December 10.
