On October 17, at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, representatives of the Georgian Court Watch held a public discussion with students.
The director of the organization, Nazi Janezashvili, introduced to the audience the project "Citizens Monitor Courts", which is implemented by Georgian Court Watch with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program. It should be noted that any interested person can participate in the monitoring of court processes by volunteers.
At the meeting, the representatives of the organization - Megi Shamatava and Salome Kvirikashvili spoke about the problems and trends identified in connection with the attendance at the sessions of the Supreme Council of Justice. The students also received information on various issues identified while working on articles prepared for the online publication of Court Watch, CourtWatch.ge (a project supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
