03.10.2022

On September 26-30, 2022, representatives of the Georgian Court Watch were on a study visit to Poland, which was held within the framework of the "Partnership for Better Courts" project.

During the visit, there were trainings on the monitoring of court processes, as well as meetings in courts. In addition, the director of the organization Nazi Janezashvili gave a speech at the annual conference of the partner organization, where she spoke about the appointment and promotion of judges in Georgia.

The project partner is Fundacja Court Watch Polska, and it is financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation, within the framework of the RITA - "Region in Transition" program, which is implemented by the Foundation for Education for Democracy. The project aims to strengthen the court watch in the direction of civil monitoring of court proceedings, this will be achieved by individual training of employees of the organization, training of volunteers, and thorough support in the process of working on monitoring methodology.

A working visit of representatives of Fundacja Court Watch Polska and Polish volunteers to Georgia is planned shortly.
